French Dips

Ingredients:

  • 2 French demi baguettes, cut in half
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 packet of Tofurky “Philly-Style” Steak Deli Slices
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese (optional)
  • Mayonnaise or Vegenaise
  • 1 packet of French onion soup mix
  • 2 cups water

Directions:

  1. Sauté onions in an oiled pan.
  2. Grind the French onion soup mix into a powder using a food processor or coffee grinder.
  3. Heat up the 2 cups of water in a small pot and add the French onion soup mix powder.
  4. Once the onions are pretty soft add the Tofurky slices to the pan and cook for a few minutes mixing the meat slices with the onions.
  5. Warm up your bread in the oven or toaster oven.
  6. Add mayo or Vegenaise to your bread and put on the meat, onions, and cheese.
  7. Put the hot soup mix in some bowls.
  8. Dip and enjoy!
